France: individuals have the right to set directives regarding the use of their data after their death.

France: The Law for a Digital Republic (“Lemaire Act”) of 7 October 2016 provided strong user data rights for data portability - necessary in addition to personal data portability. Unfortunately, the French Parliament abrogated these rights before they could be enforced.
